6:00 am – 9:00 am

Bob’s Breakfast Club, Sea to Sky drive

Donation of $20.00 required

These funds go towards the support of the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital programs is the primary raison d'etre of this event. All of the money we raise is matched by Chuck Chamberlain, owner of the Tomahawk. We raised $8,000.00 thanks to you and Chuck.

Welcome to Bob’s Breakfast Club, otherwise known as the BBC, which started as my idea way back in the winter of 1996. The first event started with about 25 Porsche cars and their drivers as an excuse to get like minded people together for a short early morning drive followed by a socializing breakfast / car show at the Tomahawk Restaurant in North Vancouver. Over the years the event has grown to as many as 87 vehicles and has often lead to some club members bringing out some of the other exotic cars that sit in their garage beside their Porsche like Ford GT’s, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Audi, McClaren and just about every model of Porsche.

While this is a laid back and casual event, we have had to make some rules as we have gone along to keep it safe and protect the participants and CWR. The Sea to Sky is a very beautiful and safe highway to drive but a 2 kilometer line of Porsche cars can be very intimidating to a lot of drivers and we are expected to set a good example of driving courtesy to our fellow motorists. There will be a mandatory drivers meeting at 6:15am to go over the rules so please make it into Starbucks before then so you can sign the waivers. This is a drive, not a race. There are no scouts from American Le Mans or the Rolex series attending but let me know if you would like some good track time and I will put you in touch with people that organize track days.

I invite all PCA-CWR club members to come out and join us, especially the newer members, this is a great way to meet new people and their wonderful cars. Non PCA members can attend as a guest for one event. I look forward to meeting you.

Crescent Beach CONCOURS D'ELEGANCE Event Details

Close

10:00 am – 4:00 pm

The organising committee and the primary sponsor, ‘Pelling Insurance’, are pleased to announce that on Labour Day Saturday, the Eighth annual Crescent Beach Concours will be held on the grassy lawn of spectacular ocean side Blackie Spit in Crescent Beach, British Columbia. The 2018 event marks the 16th year that we have brought together a Labour Day long weekend gathering of Collector Automobiles and Motorcycles.

From applications the committee will select up to 80 outstanding entrants. This year, as in the past, entrants will come from all over the west coast of Canada and the United States, and cover a broad span of makes and years and included vehicles that are often rare and seldom seen by the public. This event is a (ICJAG) International Chief Judges Advisory Group Concours d'Elegance that is sanctioned by the (NAACC) National Association of Automobile Clubs of Canada Corporation. We welcome local businesses as sponsors and would be pleased to talk to them in 2017 about ways they can get involved in the event. For more information please contact Brad Pelling at (604) 263-3400 or email crescentbeachconcours@gmail.com

Entries for the 2018 Crescent Beach Concours d'Elegance are now being taken. We are searching for nominations of exceptional automobiles and motorcycles to be included in the 2018 event. From these nominations, the selection committee will select up to 80 outstanding collector automobiles and motorcycles from Canada and the United States. The class awards will be decided by judging teams using the ICJAG format. The 2017 event benefited the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.
