Autocross is the sport of trying to navigate your car through a defined course of pylons, usually on a large parking lot, faster than your competition.  Autocross courses are set up using soft orange traffic pylons which will not damage your car.  Average speeds are usually between around 70-100kph, usually in 2nd gear.  Autocross is a “performance driving event” and a safe way to learn how to drive your car at its limit.

You not only learn how to handle your car at speeds that you drive daily, but you also:

-Gain confidence in your driving ability
-Learn the limits of your car’s brakes
-Learn correct seating, hand, and feet positions
-Learn the limits of your car’s tire adhesion

Most importantly, you get to do all of the above in the company of the most friendly and helpful car people you can find anywhere.  It’s an opportunity to be social and have fun driving at a relatively inexpensive weekend activity!

Our autocross events are held at the BC Driving Centre, at 18200 Ford Road, Pitt Meadows, BC.

Registration and payment is available online via Karelo. We will no longer be processing registrations and payments on site on the day of the event. Please contact us at autocross@pca-cwr.org if you are unable to register online.

Gates open at 7:45am, and all drivers must be present and registered on site by no later 9am.

Drivers are split into run groups, where the first group drives, and the second group works the course. Everyone will get several runs in the morning, and then again after lunch, in the afternoon. We start to wrap it up at 4:30pm.

Drivers are responsible for ensuring their car is in safe mechanical working order for the event. Please remove all loose items from your vehicle, including items in the trunk area, and ensure that your battery is securely bolted in place.
