Hello everyone!

As always, I'm inviting you all to join me at the next Porsche Club autocross: Saturday May31st - Double Pad event!

We are only at 13 drivers so far, so please spread the word and come on out! If you sign up by this Friday, you get a discount!!!!

Sign up here:
http://www.karelo.com/register.....p;Ev=14266
For those who've never been out with us, we are a bit more laid back than UBC/VCMC, no classing, just fun, and lots of runs. Last event was 10 runs and a looong course!

Don't wait to the last second! Sign up early!

Cheers,
Rich

Hi Rich.

As always, Pat & I would LOVE to come and participate.

But, we have sold our car……. (sob).

So we'll have to pass on this one.

We hope to have a replacement car by September/October… but nothing is assured.

We might come out to watch/help…. we'll see.

Cheers,

Pat & Gary Watson

I've had that plate since 1993.

When you hand in a personalized plate, you get to "keep" that slogan for a year.

So I have until May of next year to re-use it.

I expect I'll have my new car by then (I bloody well hope so),

so YES, I'll be re-using that plate.

Oh good :)

I've never understood why they don't just pick off the stickers and let you keep the plate…

BUMP

I may need someone to help safety test the course friday night around 6pm ish.. preferably with something faster than my F150 pickup truck.. any volunteers?

I may also need a co drive as I just pulled the oil pan on my 944 turbo today and I don't think it's gonna be back on in time.

Me me me !!!

Hey Rich, I'd be happy to come out. I guarantee that my new (to me) '88 Formula Fiero is faster than your F150 pickup truck. Yeah yeah, I can hear the wisecracks from the peanut gallery. Wink

I autocrossed this particular Fiero for the first time two weeks ago at the BCCC event, and since that weekend I've modified the suspension considerably with stiffer shocks/struts and lowering springs… so I'm anxious to try it out.

If you get an offer from someone with a newer/faster car, go for it… but if you'd like a cool car to come out and test the course Cool, let me know and I'd be delighted to help on Friday.

I'm looking forward to this event.
Can somebody confirm that I'm allowed to bring my friend as a co-driver?
(I couldnt add this on Karelo)
Name: Wooram Aaron Yang
Car: 2011 Mini cooper s

And, if the event is not for a serious competition, I'm wondering if I can use alternate car for just couple of run.
Basically wanna drive my friend's 993 turbo to see how she moves.
(Can have 993 tech-ed in the morning)

Very smooth! Contrast that with my rather unorthadox style! Laugh

Not my fastest run of the day, but the camera battery didn't last the entire afternoon. Embarassed

Nice run Patrick, cool video from inside the car.

I wish I had a little less wind noise and more engine noise.

cheers,

klc

Greg, if you have a look at this thread HERE, on the second page you'll find not only a link to a video of one of my friends in his Porsche 914/6 going through the lake… "Gary and the Puddle" Laugh, but you'll also find a link to an image of the time sheets (below the map of the course).

Thanks. Normally I mount my camera on the inside of the windshield and just see the hood of my car and the track. I find that's the best place to avoid wind noise. However, at this event my co-driver (his Fiero was out of commission) mounted his camera on the rear window. I have mixed feelings about it mounted there. I admit I enjoy seeing what the heck I'm doing while driving the course (although sometimes it's painful to watch Wink), but I don't like the wind noise that occasionally drowns out the sound of the engine. I guess the solution is two cameras… use the video from one and the audio from the other. Smile
