Well…? How about a quick summary of the day from someone who attended the event. Unfortunately, I was stuck on a roof, re-shingling all weekend, but I'd love to hear how things went.

Did BMW get out-SMARTed at the gate? How did we fare in numbers? Who has bragging rights for the year? Any surprizes or highlights to share? Photos? Anecdotal incidents that made you laugh?

As Timberline editors, Ian and I would greatly appreciate an article and photos for an upcoming issue of the magazine. Just drop us a line with your contribution ( or

Hmmm… quick summary…

–> went to Tomahawk at 8am

–> drove to auto mall at 9 or so

–> left auto mall 9:30 or 10 or so for tour

–> 2 mins after leaving auto mall, "leaders" of tour ditched most of us ;)

–> 5 mins later, we're at the side of the road consulting Glenn's map

–> "tour" continues, as we try and find where we have to actually go

–> we arrive at the event, to find a bunch of cars already there

–> we drive on the grass and park

–> we hang around and chat and check out the cars

–> 1pm or so we have the draw for the door prizes

–> 1:05pm, Dennis Lee's son has way too many shirts that are way too big for him

–> 1:30 or so, people start filing out of the park

All in all, it was fun, low key, and the weather was nice enough… not too sunny, not raining.

Hey that's funny Jeff – you were right behind me in the tour until the intersetcion of marine and capilano. I ran the orange light to stay with the group. Years ago I got stuck at the head of the same tour and I didn't have a f&%*inging clue where I was going. I wondered if you did as I saw you fade into my rear view. Later in the tour I found myself al alone after a series of red lights o Lonsdale.

Someone should remind Bob that Lonsdale is the last street we should be storming on a Saturday morning.

Nice site by the way – I wonder how the mail system works?
