Canada West Region Logo Contest Winner!

PCA-CWR Members,
We had many impressive entries to consider and it took a bit longer than we expected but we have chosen the winner of the CWR Logo Contest.
When the votes were tallied Rob Gill took the prize for his emblem that pays tribute to the history of our current logo and our club's location on the west coast. With the mountain scenery and our great driving roads represented, along with a nod to the Porsche colors, our BC flag and of course the Maple Leaf, Rob's entry captured the essence of Canada West.
Rob's prize will be his choice of any item of CWR merchandise (shirt, jacket, hat) once we have ordered stock with the new logo.
Many thanks to everyone who worked hard to draw up their ideas for the contest, we hope you approve of the final choice!

Monday August 16th Driver Education (DE) Day at Mission Raceway Open for Registration!

Registration will close on August 2nd, and will be limited to 45 participants. Cost for the event is $235 plus HST, which includes a catered lunch. Help Wanted - Canada West Region Exec Needs You!
Thu, 04/08/2010 - 09:36 — Jim GrantLike all volunteer groups we count on our membership to step up and take on the roles that keep club events and actvities happening. Right now we have a couple of vacancies on the executive that need capable individuals like you to take them on:
Insurance/Safety Chair
Every club event that involves moving vehicles requires insurance coverage under the PCA National policy and must observe basic safety procedures. The person who fills this role will assist the event organizers by submitting the insurance applications 2-3 weeks prior to each event and will work with the organizers to maintain club safety standards. Attendance at the events is not necessary and there is not a large time commitment.
Getting involved is the best way to maximize your Porsche experience so think about how you can help. If you need more info or want to discuss details, contact Jim at jkgrant@telus.net.
