This 3 day, 2 night tour will take a scenic route from the lower mainland beginning with the classic BC Ferries passage to Vancouver Island. This is a special tour that will combine some of BC's finest twisty back roads with epic scenery and featuring 2 nights at one of Canada's most outstanding Ocean Resorts, the Black Rock Oceanfront Resort in Ucluelet.

There's just something about Ferry Crossings that make road trips more special.
The tour will begin Friday (Sept 16, 2022) at BC Ferries Tsawwassen Terminal sailing to Duke Point on the 10:15am sailing. We want to keep the group together so we can coordinate the Highway 4 Road Closure Schedule
Return on Sunday (September 18, 2022) via Nanaimo or Swartz Bay (your choice). My reservation is from Duke Point to Tsawwassen @ 12:45pm sailing
Ferry reservations are open. It is important for the participants to book their own out and back reservations.
Special Road Closure Advisory - Highway 4 Schedule and Conditions
A major upgrade to Highway 4 at Kennedy Hill continues to progress. The community has been told the project “May Complete This Summer” so fingers crossed, but if it is still underway expect some delays and a section of rough or gravel road.
The project is approximately 14 kilometers northeast of the Tofino-Ucluelet Highway 4 junction.
When driving Eastbound from Tofino, travel time is approx. 45 mins to the construction area.
When driving Westbound from Port Alberni, travel time is approx.1.5 hrs to construction area
The Drives
Friday the tour will make its way to Ucluelet on some of Vancouver Islands best roads. There will be several scenic stops including Old Growth Cathedral Forest, streams, waterfalls and Road Side attractions. Saturday the tour will drive backroads in the area and make stops in Tofino. Sunday will feature optional return routes and allow flexibility for participants to tour together or follow their own itinerary home on the most convenient sailing route (make reservations).

The tour group will be staying at Black Rock Oceanfront Resort one of the most stunning new outposts on Canada's wild Pacific Coast. Expect outstanding views and a luxury resort experience. Our club has secured a block of rooms and negotiated discounted rates on accommodation including Studio, Suites, and Cabins both with and without Ocean Views. Contact the Resort early to make your reservation and secure these rates. Cancellations are accepted up to 7 days prior without penalty and if the tour has to cancel due to travel restrictions all deposits will be refunded.
We have secured a block of rooms and suites at special rates, available first come first served. Mention our group upon registration.

Friday afternoon, after arriving and checking in we expect an informal happy hour.
Saturday will feature the options of a group drive with time spent in the outstanding hip surf town of Tofino BC. Alternatively, some may prefer to just hang out and do your own thing at the resort, maybe a hike and spa?
Friday and Saturday evening's the group will enjoy two special dinners together in the Black Rock Wine Cellar (included in the registration fee). Cash Bar both nights.
